It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mailon Deforrest Nichols (Taylorsville, North Carolina), who passed away on November 6, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Winfiel Nichols; his son Kenneth Forrest Nichols; and his siblings, Reba Pierce, Eva Marie Whittington, Mary Bell Church and Rayburn "Bud" Nichols.
He is survived by: his parent Annie Dancy Nichols; his wife Ella Mae Rhodes Nichols; his daughter Vickie Nichols Livingston (Ron) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Phoebe Livingston of Columbia, SC and Elijah Cole Nichols (Kayla) of Hickory; his great grandchild Rylan Elisha Nichols of Hickory; his brothers, Bobby Nichols (Brenda) and Claude Nichols of Wilkesboro; and his brother-in-law John Rubert Pierce of Traphill.
