He was predeceased by: his parent Segal Willis Browning; and his sister Mary Katherine Browning. He is survived by: his parent Betty Ruth Johnson Browning; his wife Donna R. Browning; his children, Amy Holsclaw of Hickory, Candis Dickinson (Gary) of Taylorsville, Jerry Dale Browning II of Newton and Michael W. Starnes (Rebecca) of Taylorsville; his sister Peggy Ryder (George) of Verner; his grandchildren, Chrissi Holsclaw, Kyle Holsclaw, Whitney Dickinson, Blake Dickinson, Kristina Costner, Emily Costner, Gabe Browning, Logan Browning and Christian Starnes; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Chambers, Gabe Chambers, Jaylen Winebarger and Raelyn Winebarger.
