He was predeceased by: his siblings, Paul, Vaughan, Wilburn, Wade, Betty Hill, Carol StClair, Lorene Hollar and Drucilla Gwaltney.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mae Wallace Sweet; his granddaughter Ashleigh L. Cornelius (Travis) of Statesville; his great grandchildren, Adalynn and Alyssa Cornelius; and his brother Donald Sweet (Dianne) of Taylorsville.
