He was predeceased by: his parent Charlie Dail; and his siblings, Herbert, Willie, Robert, Grady, Preston, Jasper, Roy Dail, Claude, Harry "Pete", Paul Westbrook, Ethel D. Smith and Virginia D. Freeman.
He is survived by: his parent Pearl Elmore Dail; his wife Irene St; his sons, Leslie Dail of Pamlico County, NC, Arbie Dail of Walterboro, SC and Charlie Mitchell of Cove City, NC; and his siblings, Billy Dail and Louise Mitchell. He is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
