She was predeceased by: her father George Henry Mays. She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Mays Hayes of Farmington Hill, MI, Zelda Mays and Crystal V. Mays of Oak City, NC; and her siblings, William A. Mays of Tarboro, NC and Erman Gray Patterson of Tarboro, NC. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
