He was predeceased by: his wife Grace Dail Murphrey; and his brothers, Durwood, Jack and Colin Murphrey. He is survived by: his children, Dale Murphrey (Teresa) and Elaine Murphrey; his grandchildren, Suzanne Gardner (Thommy), Amber Harrell, Elizabeth Jacobe and David Myers; his great grandchildren, Abigail Gardner, Olivia Gardner, Gabriel Gardner, Kailyn Bradford, Teagan Bradford and Annalise Jacobe; and his sister Nolah Ann Dail.
