It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Morris Joyner (Tarboro, North Carolina), who passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband J. E. Joyner. She is survived by: her daughters, Jo Anne Turner (Mike) and Deborah Medlin (Rod); her grandsons, Dennis Hoard (Shannon) and John Hoard (Nydia); and her stepgrandchildren, Jeff Medlin (Jennifer) and Amy Stewart (Brian). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
