It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald R. Winchester (Tarboro, North Carolina), who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Winchester and Flossie S. Winchester; his brothers, H. Sherman, Ernest "Ike" (Doris), Tommy, Andrew and Ronald (Jeannette); and his son-in-law Bobby H. Norris.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Cummings Winchester; his children, Kendall W. Davis, Robin W. Norris, Robert Winchester (Sandra) and Penny W. Thompson; his great grandchildren, Jennifer W. Taylor (Charles), Jamie D. Woodcock (Nick), Ashley N. Lancaster (Bucky), Jared Davis (Cassidy), Jordan Norris (Justine), Kaitlyn Thompson and Brian Winchester (Cierra); his sisters-in-law, Irene M. Winchester and Joyce Pilley; his pet Ruby Lee; and also, Eleanor, Charlotte, Mary Shelton, Laettner, Lillian, Landon, Connor, Ella Nerell, James Madilyn, Brody, Grant, Addison and Hudson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
