We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Bessie Lee Howard of Tarboro, North Carolina. She was predeceased by: her mother Daisy Worsley. She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Pittman and Darryl Howard of Garner, NC; and her stepdaughter Cynthia Johnson of Tarboro, NC. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Due to Covid-19, we are asking everyone that is planning to attend the Service or visit Hemby-Willoughby Mortuary; it is mandatory that you wear a mask.

To my recollect she was a constructive influence for my Grand Mother (Mama Hattie), Grand Father (Jerry) , Mother(Wilma) and father (Eddie Sr.). Her legacy will live forever and I can truly identify with her sons saying she taught them how to appreciate the concept behind working and making the most out of what you have.
