She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Robert Hudgins and LaRue Hudgins; her nephew Robert "Rob" Hudgins, III; and her brother-in-law Bobby Walker. She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" Ligon, Jr.; her siblings, Amelia Hudgins Walker, Robert Hudgins Jr. (Vicki), Dr. Jeff Hudgins (Jennifer) and John Hudgins; her nephew Josh Hudgins (Tori); her great-niece Rachel; her niece Elizabeth Adkins (Gerald); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Lee, Corinna, Bill Walker (Lauren), Laura Messick (Tyler), Katie Hudgins (Alexander), Will Hudgins (Molly), Jay Hudgins and Mack Hudgins; and also, Brooks, Raelynn, Hadley and Emmie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church (145 Mt Vernon Church Rd, Olin, NC 28660). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
