She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Snood and Betty Patterson Carson. She is survived by: her husband Franklin Lonnie Smith; her son Gary Dale Carson (Sandra) of Statesville; her stepson Antonio Long of Statesville; her daughters, Lon-Yetta Smith of Statesville and Kristi Nande of Statesville; her siblings, Thadd Carson of Harmony and Neelie Levy (John) of Maryland; her grandchildren, Angela Stevenson of Statesville, Pebbles Carson of Florida, Gary Carson, Jr. of Hickory, Deon Sharpe of Statesville and Dimia Smith of Hickory; and her great grandchildren, Finesse Smith of Hickory, Christie, Christian and Cameron Hallman of Mocksville. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
