With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Scott Walter Byrd of Statesville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter and Mary Lee Perm Byrd; his sisters, Jennifer Byrd and Renea Byrd; and his half-brother Johnny Locklear.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Byrd; his children, Josh Rash, Joanna Byrd (Mark Eades), Jennifer Walker and Julie Wellman (Chris Frady); his siblings, Sarah Leatherman and Robert Byrd; his half-brother Lonzi Locklear (Deborah); his grandson Jake Eades; and his close friends, Stroud, Dennis Wishon and Timmy Wilcox. He is also survived by several stepgrandchildren; a few stepgreat-grandchildren.
