With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Don Armlin (Statesville, North Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Don left this world on February 8, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Collins Armlin and Claude Armlin; his sisters, Virginia Kingsley and Barbara Ely; his siblings-in-law, Joseph Ely, Jr. and Wanda Armlin; his granddaughter Blair Marie Dodge; his son-in-law Joseph Dodge; and his stepgreat-grandson Addison Snyder.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Tornatore; his son Donald Alexander of Canastota, NY; his granddaughters, Sara Dodge Friday (John Paul) of Wynantsville, NY, Rayonna Alexander and Kendra Alexander of Canastota, NY; his stepchildren, Cathleen Schmidt (Edward) of Dowagiac, Tracy Tornatore of Florida and Jacqueline Brown (Darryl) of Stony Point, NC; his great grandchildren, Nolan and Evan Friday; his stepgrandchildren, Wheeler, Hudson, Lennox Schmidt, Tara Snyder, Asia Johnson, Adaire Schwartz (Ben) and Gage Martin (Jackie); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Finlee Michael Tate, Beckham Winston Storms, Brody, Brantley Schwartz, Royce Schmidt, Reagan Schmidt, Hoyt Fletcher Orman, Blaine, Melody, Chace, Dante Snyder and Carter Laine Martin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church (525 Camden Dr, Statesville, NC 28677). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
