She was predeceased by: her father Frank Pittman; her grandmother Doris Skinner; and her stepson Mik Pearson. She is survived by: her husband Elton L. Pearson; her son Jon Whitley (Jennifer) of Snow Hill; her mother Bonnie B. Pittman of Eureka; her stepson Britt Pearson of Farmville; her stepgrandsons, Anderson Pearson of Wilson and Harley Pearson of Stantonsburg; her sister Jennifer P. Joyner of Eureka; her nephew Colby Joyner (Kristin); her great-nephew Joseph of Fremont; her aunt Marie Edmundson (Bill) of Stantonsburg; and her uncle Tom Bridgers (Jane) of Wilson.
