It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Barnes of Stantonsburg, North Carolina, who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Barnes; her children, Brenda Kay Reason and Thomas Ray Barnes; and her grandchildren, Brenda Davis and Jason Barnes.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Faye James of Stantonsburg and Michael Eugene Barnes (Kathy) of Stantonsburg; and her siblings, Shirley Goff of Stantonsburg and Billy Davis (Betty) of Stantonsburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and thirteen great – grandchildren.
