It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joe Thompson (Stantonsburg, North Carolina), who passed away on September 4, 2020, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Greene Thompson (Pat); his brother Jim Thompson; and his parents, James Thompson and Edna Thompson. He is survived by: his son Joseph Wilbur Thompson; his daughter-in-law Katherine Bryan Thompson; his granddaughters, Katherine Bailey and Caroline Riley Thompson of Apex, NC; his daughter Caroline Dixon Thompson of Beulaville; his siblings, Jack Thompson of Wilson, Mary Thompson Wilson and Martha Moore of Atlantic Beach; his sister-in-law Carolyn Thompson of Wilson; and his pet Lucy. He is also survived by close friends and extended family.
