He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles I. Pope and Mildred Webb Pope; and his brother Charles I. Pope, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jewel Howard Pope; his son Charles I. "Chad" Pope (Tammy) of Stantonsburg; his grandchildren, Charles Bryant Pope (Carolyn) of Wilson and Julia Griffin Pope Bass (Brian) of Wilson; and his great grandchildren, Darden Grace Bass of Wilson, Charlotte Louise Bass of Wilson, Olivia Rose Pope of Wilson and Anna Rogan Pope of Wilson.
