She was predeceased by: her parent Carter; and her sister Charlotte L. Sullins. She is survived by: her husband Oscar Buchanan; her son Rodney York of Asheville; her stepson Steven Buchanan of Augusta, GA; her daughter-in-law Stacie Howell of Taylorsville; her granddaughters, Hannah and Hailey York of Taylorsville, NC; her stepgrandsons, Ben and Jake Buchanan of Augusta, GA; and her sisters, Patricia Mann of Spruce Pine and Juda Sullins of Spruce Pine. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
