He was predeceased by: his mother Jenny Grindstaff; and his siblings, Sally Hoyle, Claude and Frank Willis. He is survived by: his wife Susie Willis; his children, Kathy Woody Crowder (Rick Crowder) of Bakersville and Allen Willis of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Jennifer Woody Sparks (Michael Sparks) of Bakersville, Joshua Willis (Mike Paskow) of Washington, DC and Samuel Willis (Amanda Willis) of Forest City; his great grandchildren, Dylan Woody, Luke Sparks, Samuel Ralph Willis and Henry Allen Willis; and his sister Maude Hoyle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
