He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeter Hughes and Norma Hughes; his grandson Micah Morton; and his siblings, Charlotte Hughes, Leon and Robert Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Lingerfelt Hughes; his siblings, Christine Odom (Wade), Reed Hughes and Willard Hughes (Rosalee); his children, Doris Sheila Duncan (Darren), Holly Morton (Gary) and Dustin Paul Hughes; his grandchildren, Megan Buchanan, Cierra Whitson, Zoey Hughes, Lyric Morton, Dalton Whitson (Amber) and Laken Morton; and his great grandchildren, Nova Rain Edstrom and Arthur Shane Whtison.
