He was predeceased by: his parents, Brack McKinney and Decima Meredith McKinney; his wife Linda Woodard McKinney; and his sister Vivian Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Shelia Scruggs (Jay) of Sweetwater, TN and Harold McKinney (Melissa) of Spruce Pine; his grandchildren, Christa, Shelley, Kelly, Matthew, Caitlin, Chloe, Clarissa, Chase, Gage and Logun; his great grandchildren, Stanley, Valerie, Zackary, Sheryl, Shawn, Sarah and Riley; and his siblings, Wayne McKinney (Juanita) of Spruce Pine, Wade McKinney (Pam) of Marion and Gladys Saxon of Spruce Pine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
