He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Buchanan and Judy Johnson Buchanan; his siblings, Glenda Lewis, Diana Buchanan, Helen Hughes, David and Junior Buchanan; and his granddaughter Bethany Faith Buchanan.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Buchanan of Spruce Pine, Mark Buchanan (Selena) of Spruce Pine, Missy Griffith (Ricky) of Spruce Pine and Sarah Boggs of Hickory; his sister Etta Mae Jones (Mack) of Morganton; and his grandchildren, Eric, Brent Griffith, Zack, Triston, Blaze, Garrett, Kelly, Jonathon, Cortney, Levi, Angel Buchanan and Michael Boggs.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Ashley Cemetery.
