She was predeceased by: her parents, George Cooke and Carrie Ledford Cooke; her husband Charlie McKinney; her son Charles McKinney; and her brothers, Ralph Cooke and James Cooke.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Gouge (Ronnie) of Bakersville, Ray McKinney (Peggy), Larry McKinney (Deborah) of Bakersville and Gary Edward McKinney (Nora) of Spruce Pine; her grandchildren, Revonda, Karen, Paige, Abigail, Brady and Heather; and her great grandchildren, Kelly, Brandi and Tanner.
