It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lawrence Woody of Spruce Pine, North Carolina, who passed away on June 8, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Greenville Woody and Roberta Wiseman Woody; his wife Elaine Taylor Woody; his daughter Barbara Shell; and his siblings, Mabel Wiseman, Virginia Curtis, Louise Gouge, Shirley Fullbright, Robert and Bill Woody.
He is survived by: his children, Angie Ballew (John) of Burnsville, Phyllis McCurry (Gary) of Morganton, Patricia Woody of Morganton and Kenneth Woody (Cindy) of Morganton; his grandchildren, Siera Miller (Josh), Melissa Reep (Harold), Manoah Ballew, Kasey Woody, Tyler Woody and Jamie Carswell (Christy); and his brothers, Scott Woody (Vivian), Case Woody (Betty) and Tylie Woody (Sandy).
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the Walnut Grove Church Cemetery.
