He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, J. M. Wellborn and Rebecca; his brother J. M. Jr.; his wife Scottie Proffitt Wellborn; his sister Joyce Wellborn Cox; his daughter Rebecca Wellborn Grant; his father-in-law Jay; and his granddaughter Julia.
