He is survived by: his parent Myrtle Garland Smith; his wife Norma Jean Gage Smith; his sons, William Smith (Robin) of Spruce Pine, NC and Gordon Smith (Terri) of Mint Hill, NC; his sisters, Betty S. Taylor of Morganton and Gail Burleson of Crossnore, NC; and his granddaughters, Natalia Anzola of Fort Carson, Paige McCaleb of Wilmington, NC and Carlina Smith of Waxhaw, NC.. He is also survived by friends and day trips with friends.
