With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim Gouge (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), who passed away on March 18, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jeffery Gouge, Sr. and Georgia Nichols Gouge; and his former wife Margaret Ann Banks. He is survived by: his friend Speckled Trout; his wife Dorothy Phillips Gouge; his siblings, Barbara Buchanan of Spruce Pine and Steve Gouge (Wanda) of Taylorsville, Kentucky; his children, Jeff Gouge (Kim) of Spruce Pine and Lynne Hopper (David) of Woodstock, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Megan (Ridge Phillips) of Newland, Scott Gouge of Spruce Pine and Lindsey (Cameron Miller). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
