He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shook and Ebbie Greene Shook; his son Andrew Paul Shook; and his siblings, Cecil 'Rob Shook, Jack Shook, Joe Shook and Mary Sue Shook.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Smith Shook; his daughters, Janet Shook of Spruce Pine and Judy Shook of Spruce Pine; his sisters, Barbara Buchanan of Spruce Pine, Alice Stamey of Spruce Pine, Florence Dellinger of Spear and Betty Herbst of Spear; and his daughter-in-law Dorina Shook of Maiden, NC..
