It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn P. Hughes (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), who passed away on May 7, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Lindsey Pendley, Sr. and Bertie Freeman Pendley; and her husband Ralph Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Bill Hughes (Vicki) of Simpsonville, SC, David Hughes (Diane) of Spruce Pine and Carolyn Brunning (Bob) of Amherst, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
