She was predeceased by: her parent Jesse Will Rhyne; her husband Robert Dale Thompson, Sr (Bob); and her siblings, Jessie Peterson, Frances Willis, Alice Pittman, Lucille Burleson and Ronald Rhyne.
She is survived by: her parent Effie Mae Turbyfill Rhyne; her children, Robert Thompson, Jr (Teresa) of Summit, NJ, Marsha Whitson (Ronnie) of Spruce Pine and Gregg Thompson (Nancy) of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Robert III, Jose, Grey, Reid and Molly; her brother Harold Rhyne (Beth); and her stepgrandchild Amy Moore (Brad).
