He was predeceased by: his parents, James McAlonan and Mary Ellen Haren McAlonan; and his sisters, Rita Samuelson and Rose Mary Frail. He is survived by: his wife Norma Campbell McAlonan of Spruce Pine; his children, Diane McAlonan of Elk Park, NC, Michael McAlonan (Barbara) of Havelock, NC, Sean McAlonan of Chicago, IL and Daniel McAlonan of Cincinnati, OH; his grandchildren, Erin, Sarah and Jon; and his great grandchildren, Elvina and Russell.
