It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bunia Lee Carpenter (Spruce Pine, North Carolina), born in Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on March 26, 2018, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Milton D. Carpenter; and her siblings, Sylvia Rose, Bea Elliott, Esther Goins, James Goins Jr. and William Goins.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Cole (Denzel) of Minerva and Jerry Carpenter (Zetta) of Massillon; her siblings, Rosalyn McCurry (Wade) of Spruce Vine, NC and Robert Goins (Mary Helen) of Childersburg, AL; and her grandchildren, Pamela Frost (Don), Zetta Via and Jerry Carpenter II (Helen). She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
