He is survived by: his daughter Margaret McGee Buchanan; his grandchildren, Damien Hollifield (Amanda), Matt Hollifield (Kayla) of Spruce Pine, Kelly Stegall (Justin) of Winnabow, NC and Michelle Moore (Quisto) of Leland, NC.; his great grandchildren, Chloe Hollifield of Wilmington, NC, Keiland, Keslyn, Karter Hollifield of Spruce Pine, Jordan, Avery Ann, Elliot Stegall of Winnabow, NC and Knox Lee Moore of Leland, NC.; his stepgrandchildren, Kim Hollifield O'Day (Steve) of Cumming, GA and Brett Hollifield of Wake Forest, NC.; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Caitlin, Cami, Brooke O'Day, Dylan, Alex and Sydney Hollifield; and his siblings, Bill Buchanan (Becky) of Granite Falls, NC, Wade Buchanan (Brenda) of Connelly Springs, NC, Richard Smith (Debra) of Hildebrand, NC, Edward Smith of Charlotte, NC and June Lowman of Hickory, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
