He was predeceased by: his parents, James Archie Taylor and Emma Underwood Taylor; and his siblings, Ruby Herring, Nellie Fogg and James Archie Taylor, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Shipe Taylor; his children, Laurie Ann Dugan (C. J.), Katherine Elaine Taylor and Robert Eugene Taylor, Jr.; and his siblings, Johnny Lee Taylor (Marie), Dorothy Mae Thompson and Maxie Ray Taylor. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous favorite nieces and nephews.
