He was predeceased by: his parents, Mirl Livingston Shytle and Estelle Yelton Shytle; and his granddaughter Lily Dawn Vess. He is survived by: his daughter Julie Whitley; and his siblings, Gail Champion (James), Bobby Yelton (Shirley), Dennis Yelton, Peggy Taylor, Dorothy Kay "Susie" Byers (Bud), Michael Shytle (Sharon) and Jeff Shytle (Connie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
