With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Joe Lanier of Snow Hill, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 28, 2025 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Wayne Lanier and Cora France Moye Lanier; his children, Terry Jermaine Lanier (Lashundra), Jeremy Lanier and Adrienna Timmons; his granddaughter Ma'Kaylah Lanier; and his siblings, Ronnie Lanier, Alexander Lanier, Walter Lanier, Ora Lanier and Ella Atkinson.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Lanier; his children, Sheneika Hill (Rashawn Murrell), Tierra Lanier, Sherba Lanier, Shomarrie Parker, Andre Hill, Tevin Lanier, Kenneth Timmons and Steve Davis; his sisters, Geraldine Williams, Sandra Lanier, Fannie Ebron, Ella Williams and Jean Dixon; his uncles, Winfred Moye and Herman Moye (Ann); his aunt Inez Moye; and his cousin Carl Lanier. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
