She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Franklin and Daisy Dean Bright Ormond; her husbands, Eugene Cleveland Shingleton, Jr. and Norman "Shine" Beaman; and her children, Eugene Franklin Shingleton and Patricia Shingleton Bigler.
She is survived by: her son Kenny Shingleton (Carlette) of Snow Hill; her daughter-in-law Linda Shingleton of Emerald Isle; and her grandchildren, Neil Shingleton, Melanie Shingleton, Christie Bragg (David), Carol Miller (Rodney), Coburn Bigler (Susan) and Devin Bigler. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
