He is survived by: his wife Carol Woodard Smith; his stepson Thomas Woodard (Christina); his stepgrandchildren, Summer Woodard of Goldsboro and Holly Woodard of Goldsboro; his siblings, Margaret Rose Smith (Timothy), Donald Morgan Smith (Linda) of LaGrange and Richard Smith (Angie) of Lancaster; and his stepmother Sandra Smith of Heath Springs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
