He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh C. Waller and Lois Stafford Waller; and his siblings, Ramona Waller Smith and Hugh "Bud" Waller. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Ham Waller; his daughters, Tammy Waller Jones (David) of Snow Hill and Missy Raynor (Charles) of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Rachel Jones of Snow Hill, Katie Gay of Goldsboro and Taylor Gay of Goldsboro; and his sister Brenda Waller Kelly of Goldsboro.
