He was loved and cherished by many people including: his stepfather Wade Welch; his sister Rachel Welch Hind; his wife Hilda Edwards Petty; his daughters, Tina Alexander of Sherrills Ford and Angel Helms (Dwayne) of Sherrills Ford; his parent Martha Petty Welch of Goldsboro; his siblings, William Lambeth Jr. (Regina) and Donna Gray (Leroy); his grandchildren, Dakota Barton (Jamie), Brent Helms (Brandy), Kasey Barton and Garrett Helms (Kadi); and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Colton, Owen, Anna-Mae, Kylee, Greyson and Tinleigh.
