She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Elwood and Eula Pittman Barnes; her brother W. C. Barnes; her grandchildren, Laura Bailey, Samuel Bailey and Rachel Bailey; and her great grandchild Jordan Southers.
She is survived by: her husband Wayne Brown; her children, Randall Brown (Laura) of Selma, Andrea Southers (Steve) of Benson and Dolores Bailey (James) of Selma; her siblings, Eugene Barnes (Ann) of Selma, Charles Barnes (Sandra) of Garner, Glenn Barnes (Barbara) of Goldsboro, Jenny Evans of Wilson, Becky Keene (Billy) of Clayton, Carolyn Clark of Willow Springs and Mary Keith Bill (Larry) of Rosewood; her grandchildren, Charles Brown, Stephanie Brown, Amanda Erwin, John Seifert (Jessica), Stephen Southers (Samantha), Jessica Creech (Jordan), Evan Bailey and Amber Lindamood; and her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Janie, Rosa Marie, Nevaeh, Cloey, Isis, Zaiden, Vincent, Elijah, Jonathan, Dakota, Hailey, Makayla, Lucas, Travis of Lainey Kate, J. J., Roland and Cameron.
Flowers were one of Irene's favorites, however if you would like you can send a contribution in lieu of flowers to assist the family with funeral expenses.
