He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayland Riddick Jones, Sr. and Elsie White Jones; and his sister Barbara J. Parker. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his children, Wayland Riddick Jones, III (Tammy) of Rocky Mount, Chris Jones of Colerain and Caroline Kebschull (Bill) of Manteo; his granddaughters, Addie Jones, Madison Kebschull and Malin Kebschull; his siblings, Libby Etheridge of Chesapeake, VA and Billy Jones (Beth) of Colerain; and his siblings-in-law, Nita Jernigan, Claude Barnette and Melvin Barnette. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
