He is survived by: his wife Betty Hickman Matthews; his daughters, Barbara Harrington (Wiley) of Broadway, NC and Bobbi Matthews (Jason Collins) of Lillington, NC; his stepdaughter Kimberly Martin (Mark) of Charlotte, NC; his brother Jerry Matthews of North Wilksboro; his grandchildren, Cassie Lynch (Derrick), Clayton Harrington and Trey Rouse; his stepgrandchildren, Alexandra Reynolds (William) and Seth Martin; and his great grandchildren, Maci Lynch, Easton Lynch and Sawyer Lynch. He is also survived by his family and friends.
