He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter L. McAllister and Minnie Rose McAllister; his son Wayne E. McAllister; his siblings, Carolyn Kirby, Brenda McAllister, Lois Fleming and Sterling McAllister; and his brother-in-law W. B. Fleming, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Persinger McAllister; his children, Robin Turner (Johnny) and Michael McAllister (Jill); his brother James McAllister (Linda); his siblings-in-law, Cheryl McAllister and Sidney Kirby; and his sister Sharon Hayslett (Monty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
