He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis "Pete" Russell and Dorcas Russell; his sister Linda; his brother-in-law Abraham McCloy; his brother Charles; and his sister-in-law Dena Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Lelia Green (Randy), Jennifer Russell, Thomas Russell (Amy) and Melody Harris (Mike). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
