She was predeceased by: her parents, Jarrett T. Chandler (T. Chandler) and Annabelle Slack Chandler; and her son Drew Edward Planten. She is survived by: her husband Robert Edward Planten; her sons, Ronald David Planten, Donald Wayne Planten of Salisbury, NC and Duane Allen Planten of Charlotte; her grandson Jonathan Robert Planten of Mesa; and her siblings, Anna Chandler Wilkins of San Diego, CA and Dr. Jarrett T. Chandler, Jr. of Salisbury, N. C..
Sarah was in this position for 13 years before she donated the school to the Milton United Methodist Church.
