He is survived by: his mother Emma Thomas Whitsett of Greensboro, NC; his friend Smitty; his children, Earnest McKinney, Kerenna Jones (Gary) of Birmingham, AL, Jeremy Smith (Tiffany) of Clarksville, TN, Dorian McNeal (LaMorrio) of Birmingham, AL and Jessica Smith of Montgomery, AL; his siblings, Ricky Thomas of Greensboro, NC, Ivey Smith of Greensboro, NC, Christopher Thomas of Riley, NC, Warren Thomas of Greensboro, NC, Carolyn Smith of Greensboro, NC and Janice Thomas of High Point, NC; his grandchildren, Kaylah Lewis, Ariana Smith, Brianna Smith, Emoni McLeod, Jeremy Smith Jr., Daylund Num, Jai'Lynn Paris Wrice, Kamora Jones and Skyler McNeal; and his aunt Frances Small of Greensboro, NC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
