He was predeceased by: his parents, Hillery Hudson and Ethel Fleming Rink; and his siblings, Carolene R. Peeler, Naomi R. Bernhardt, Dorothy R. Adams, Hillery H. Rink Jr., Joe L. Rink and Donald E. Rink.
He is survived by: his son John "Jeff" F. Rink Jr. (Connie); his grandchildren, Parker and John of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his daughter Jenny Craft of Salisbury; his granddaughter Megan; his close friend Ann P. Weatherford (Molly); and his great grandchildren, Dash Dixon, Kinsley, Elanore, Maven Teodorovici, Rainer and Uriah Petry.
