He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Donaldson and Mary Donaldson; his wife Margaret Ann Jimerson Donaldson; and his siblings, Claude Donaldson, Charles Donaldson and Sylvia Donaldson Sherrill.
He is survived by: his daughter Shelley Smith (Leon) of Kannapolis; and his siblings, Gary Donaldson of Mooresville and Phyllis Wesley of New Jersey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
