With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin Thomas Rivens (Salisbury, North Carolina), born in West Palm Beach, Florida, who passed away on December 4, 2023 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Pharsee Augustus and Eliza Parks Rivens. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Morrison Rivens; his children, Vincent Hodge (Tonoa), Tywen Lavarea White of Concord and Michelle Alexander of Atlanta, GA; his sisters, Ola Mae Taylor of Lakeworth, FL, Marjorie Hardnett, Bessie R. Strain and Rhonda L. Rivens of Rivera Beach, FL; and his sister-in-law Cal Morrison of Concord. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
